Really good. I like the sequel more but this is still nice. I agree with Tin cap in that the melody is super chill and fun to listen to. This may still be your best melody, although I feel sad saying that because this is also your first song. If you look at MY first song it’s hot garbage because I made it WAY before I posted it, and it was part of a series that was spawned because I didn’t have a direction with what to do with my music at that time. I like ranting today it seems; my favorite part of the song is 2:14 to 3:04, it’s just fun to listen to. The outro doesn’t feel like an outro but it’s your first song so it’s fine. Way better than my first song, good job!

    Tangerine responds:

Hahahahahaha you think this is my first song?? If only you could see my composition folder on my computer. This is just the first that I put out to the public. First one I felt proud of. Blood sweat and lots of tears came before this piece. And don't feel sad about saying this songs melody is the best so far. I think so too. I came across this melody by complete accident while I was messing around with a timpani. No music thought went into this melody. So I sort of consider it as a one shot wonder in my songs. I'll hopefully create something with a melody who outshines this later in life. I've still got a lifetime to create something better so at the moment i'm just messing with harmonies. Yeah forgive all the bad structuring this was still an early song in my development.

I’m not sure what to rate this one; it is a big deviation from what you did previously, and I love that you continue to experiment with new styles. I didn’t know Sibelius has a synth section, and since it does there is a lot more you can do in terms of EQ, now that the instruments go beyond classical. This hybrid you’ve come up with is absolutely genius in a way and I hope you continue with it, it shows a lot of potential. Musically, though, it’s not your best. The return to metal with the guitar in the middle was a little underwhelming sadly (given your previous metal sections) and the melody can get a little repetitive. It’s funny because I don’t really like heavy metal at all but the way you can do it and mesh it with other styles, that’s when I like it lol. Also, by “disc” I assume you meant icons. Overall I hope this is a new direction you take with your music, as I move on with mine with the somewhat new melodic layering technique I started in Arizona (but it’s tricky because I don’t want to do that every song, lest it get stale).

    Tangerine responds:

Honestly, synth isn't even scratching the surface of what Sibelius is capable of. There is this giant list of simply African percussion instruments and literally anything you could possibly imagine. Yeah, I know this song is very repetitive, i'm still trying to grasp the video game music genre. I'm glad you like my take on heavy metal. I wasn't specifically intending for it to be heavy metal but now that you mention it I realise it resembles a bit of it. "way you can do it and mesh it with other styles" This truly shows that I have absolutely no idea what i'm doing hahaha. I'm not a giant fan of heavy metal either, so when I do it I try to add a little of what i'm familiar with. I will experiment further with this genre in the future but I feel that there is still more I want to try before I start actively improving on a certain genre.

This sounds like powersound VIP and the actual powersound VIP sounds like the worse original

I read the description as “Neuro Garbage”

You’re not the only one with things going on. I usually upload 5-6 songs a month but this isn’t one of those months for me; I’ve uploaded 3 this month and the 4th is on its way but that’s probably going to be it. On this song, it’s nice. I like the emphasis on drums, but I personally like the falire song metal melody from way back when even more than this.

    Tangerine responds:

Hey, good to see you again. Yeah, don't worry about your upload schedule. Just make songs when you get to it. The melody of this song is something that I created years ago on an app called Auxy. The melody was tricky because I didn't have a chord progression to help me add onto it. The reason why I made this a piano solo is because i'm going to try self-teach myself Piano like with what I did with guitar. So I wanted to make a song to help me get the feel of piano. "but I personally like the falire song metal melody" Haha, I like falire's melody too. I'm not much of a metal guy so that's why you'll probably not see much electric guitar from me. Sorry if my english is bad i'm just dying of death at the moment (Crunching an assignment with little sleep).

My most popular song I ever released, no joke. Nothing even comes close to 1000 listens, the next most is Wyoming with around 750. I don’t like this song at all

Aaand now it’s past 1000. That’s the highest listen count I’ll see for a while
And now Nevada has finally surpassed this massive number by hundreds of listens. At long last, my most popular song ever is on my main account now.

Continuing my long streak of giving long reviews to every song you upload, here we go again, although this time I have less to say than last time.
I don’t think I’ve ever felt so much personality in a song of yours before, even the spider man one. We often look on our pasts with rose tinted glasses because the things we felt stressed about no longer stress us out since we knew it turned out fine. The key is finding the rose in our lives, right now, in order to enjoy life as we enjoy reminiscing on childhood. That is the feeling I get from this song. Not much else to say.

More cello is always nice. I wouldn’t think you took inspiration from my recent tracks in 3/4 to make a waltz? Just kidding, but I do really like the new changes you’ve made to your profile picture. It made me laugh when I read “tangeroni and cheese”. I will advise to be extremely careful when implementing vocals, as at least from what I’ve seen, they (as in samples) can be very inconsistent between softwares and good ones appear to be hard to find. With regard to the outro, I’ve suddenly realized with the release of Mississippi that outros are really hard with weird tracks. Hence I can empathize with the temptation to just end with a simple quick chord, as I just did it as well. I don’t think that’s the best way to end a piece however, as it can leave the listener feeling a little dissatisfied. But who cares? It’s a waltz with a purposefully uncatchy melody, which paradoxically makes it catchy.

Edit: I must have been high or something when I wrote this review. This melody is veeeeery questionable and almost gives me a headache listening to it. Allow me to adjust the stars accordingly. But I do kinda like 1:36 so at least there’s that.

    Tangerine responds:

"I wouldn’t think you took inspiration from my recent tracks in 3/4 to make a waltz?" My real inspiration was a failed project of mine I found a while ago where I tried to make a waltz in 4/4 xD. So I basically took the idea from that and actually made it a waltz. " but I do really like the new changes you’ve made to your profile picture." Thank you! I like it too. Good to know my profile picture made you laugh haha. " temptation to just end with a simple quick chord," It was late at night and I just wanted it finished haha. " It’s a waltz with a purposefully uncatchy melody, which paradoxically makes it catchy." I didn't think so melody was too terrible haha. As with my most recent melodies I've just been experimenting with what I find oddly charming rather than what I'd expect others to like.

As a cello player of 7.5 years, I absolutely love this. The sound font used for the cello is not excellent but the melody itself is basically exactly what I think of when I hear “rays of the sun”.
1:12 that’s pretty much what I wanted to hear; an increase in tension of the song via the use of “light” brass, with dissonant chords. You really like making those juicy chords and have become very good at it I’d say.
Outro was alright, but probably the worst part of the track sadly. Very jazzy overall and cheers me up about how bad of a year it’s been so far for me both personally and for me on a worldwide scale especially here in the states.

    Tangerine responds:

"Outro was alright, but probably the worst part of the track sadly." Yeah, I have my laziness to blame for that haha. "Very jazzy overall and cheers me up" I'm glad that I was able to create a positive sway in your mood even if it were just for a moment. " how bad of a year it’s been so far for me both personally" I'm sorry that this year has been such a rough year for you. I hope it gets better from here. When you're at the bottom, the only way is up. "me on a worldwide scale especially here in the states." I have no idea what's happening over there apart from a few stories from American friends. From what I've heard it's pretty rough. I'm sure Americans will pill through and survive. " I absolutely love this" Thank you!
